JK Tyre-The Monsoon Ride 2009 was the first event organised under the banner, Western Motorsports. JK Tyre-The Monsoon Ride 2009 ran for 190 kms with 11 kms of off road. The rally was run in TSD format in two legs Jaipur - Bhangarh and Bhangarh - Jaipur without repeating the track. The proceedings for the rally started on 4th July with document and vehicle scrutiny. Maharaja Sawai Bhawani Singh ji MVC, Jaipur did the ceremonial flag off for the rally at 6:00 pm from The Pink City restaurant near Jal Mahal. The actual flag off for the rally was at 06:00 am on 5th July with the picturesque Jal Mahal in background. The prize distribution for the rally took place at 8:30 pm on 5th July at The Pink City restaurant lawns with its heritage architecture giving it a different feel all together. The prizes were given away by Mr. Ajoy Shah from JK Tyres. JK Tyres sponsored the event. Club Mahindra and Big tv came up with small gifts for the winners. The rally had 50 registrations out of which 48 took start and 47 finished the event. The event was a big success as there were no mishaps, controversies or protests.
